Cold brew coffee is brewed using cold water for an extended period of time, typically 12 to 24 hours. This slow, low-temperature extraction process results in a coffee that is smooth, less acidic, and more concentrated than traditionally brewed coffee. Widely considered healthier than hot-brewed coffee, it is the fastest growing beverage sector in the world.

Extracting the flavors from coffee grinds with boiling water can result in the release of acids. It's like punching coffee in the face. This is why hot coffee tastes so bitter.

Cold Brew slowly steeps the grinds in stagnant water and prevents the release of acids that cause heartburn, indigestion, and poor gut health.

Absolutely! Any beverage that requires steeping or chilling can be brewed in AstroBrew.

CAUTION: Adding sugars or sweeteners to AstroBrew will result in a voided warranty.

Please don't.  No one wants watered down cold brew. AstroBrew automatically chills your beverage as it is brewing and maintains the temperature indefinitely. It is more energy efficient than your refrigerator!

 However if you are drinking your cold brew on-the-go, we recommend ice in your thermal mug to keep your drink colder for longer.

The container and coffee filter are stainless steel. The coffee filter is removable for cleaning.

There is a secondary filter to prevent debris from entering the pump. It is removable and should be cleaned monthly.

AstroBrew is lightweight, less than 5 lbs and can be washed in you sink when unplugged from power.
 
Alternatively, a wash cloth wetted with warm water and soap may be used to wipe down the interior of the container.
